The Bugatti on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills

Bugatti Veyron on Rodeo Drive

The Landmark of Rodeo Drive

Since Iranian-born Bijan Pakzad died back in April 2011, a $2 million Bugatti is parked in front of the House of Bijan boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California. It is parked there as a tribute to Bijan. It has become a true landmark and tourist magnet. The sightseeing tours stay just long enough to let car enthusiasts walk up the drive.

The enthusiasts are, of course, happy to just have a close look at the car. The boutique is off-limits to most. Shopping at this boutique, which is regarded as the most expensive store in the world, is by appointment-only.

One of Its Kind

The Bijan Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport is a custom made car in the fashion designer’s signature yellow. It boasts a 1001 horsepower 16-cylinder engine. It is equipped with four turbo chargers and can go from zero to over 250 mph in less than a minute.

During his life-time Bijan Pakzad had many notable cars in his car collection, like a yellow Bentley Azure with black interior, as well as a Black Bentley Azure with yellow interior. He also owned a yellow Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé. Many of his cars could be seen parked outside of his Rodeo Drive boutique.
